Paul McCartney's 1967 Lamborghini 400GT 2+2 up for auction

Bonhams, which is known for auctioning some of the most prestigious and exclusive cars in the world, announced that it will offer ex-Beatle Paul McCartney's 1967 Lamborghini 400GT 2+2 during the annual Goodwood Festival of Speed on July 1.

Bonhams estimates the value range of the rare Lambo at US$162,000 to US$194,000.

A mere 250 copies of the 400GT were ever produced, including a small number with right-hand drive. Under the hood is a V12 engine that managed to rival the big exotic cars at the time.

This won't be the first time Bonhams sells an automobile that belonged to a member of the Beatles, having already auctioned a 1965 Ferrari 330 GT 2+2 once owned by John Lennon.
